We are proud to now offer Fear Free Veterinary Consultations for our new patients!
We are taking veterinary care to the next level! Our new and innovative approach to wellness fully integrates the physical and emotional health of your dog. It includes a consultation with our Fear Free Certified staff and doctor, and a follow up visit with a full exam.
The first visit to our practice with your pet may be a little different from previous experiences you have had:
We begin with an initial visit for you and your pet which includes an observational exam. This is an opportunity to gather a history about your pet and to discuss any concerns you have.
We will weigh your pet, offer plenty of treats, and have them smile for our camera!
While interacting with your pet, we assess their fear and anxiety levels. Your pet may exhibit signs of fear or anxiety in a variety of ways. We will discuss with you some of the subtle signs of stress, as well as the more obvious ones.
Based on our observations, as well as their history with other services, we will develop a treatment plan which may include medications to address your pet’s underlying fear and anxiety at the vet.
They will return another day for full veterinary exam, and any other services they may need.
It’s sometimes necessary to stop and reassess our patients’ emotional state, and reschedule for another day with the appropriate pre-visit medications, both for their wellbeing and our safety. Our new wellness package with the initial consultation will help greatly reduce the need to do so and help reduce your visits to our clinic, saving you time and money.
Our goal is to set your pet up for successful future visits! This will ensure a higher quality care for your beloved family member, and a better experience for everyone.
The consultation fee for both the initial visit and the follow up exam is a one time payment of only $79!
